Role Overview:

We are working on a role, “Export Manager” for one of the fast-growing startups in Bangladesh. The Export Manager will manage and coordinate the company’s export operations with a specific focus on the Middle East markets, particularly Saudi Arabia. The role requires a professional with proven RTM (Route-to-Market) experience in Saudi Arabia and direct, on-ground experience in managing their own operations including sales and logistics teams within Saudi Arabia. Prior in-person work experience in other Middle Eastern markets is also highly desirable. The position involves working closely with distributors, ensuring efficient demand-supply alignment, supporting market development initiatives in export functions.

Major Responsibilities:
● Lead export operations with a focus on market development in the Middle East, including identifying opportunities, building distributor relationships, and expanding presence in key markets.
● Manage day-to-day export activities, including documentation, logistics, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
● Support the development and execution of export strategies tailored to Middle East market requirements.
● Coordinate with distributors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.
● Ensure accurate recordkeeping of shipments, consumption registration, and inventory tracking.
● Drive cost efficiencies in export processes, including freight, warehousing, and customs operations.
● Stay updated on Middle East trade regulations, market dynamics, and compliance requirements.
● Collaborate with internal teams (sales, supply chain, and finance) to align export operations with organizational targets.
● Resolve operational challenges, ensuring timely escalation and proactive solutions.

Qualifications and Experience
Professional Experience:
● Minimum 10 years of total experience, with 5 years of experience in export operations in the Middle East markets.
● Prior in-person work experience in the Middle East is highly preferred, with specific RTM experience in Saudi Arabia strongly desired.
● Direct, in-person experience managing sales and logistics operations in Saudi Arabia, including team leadership, is strongly preferred.
● Strong knowledge of Middle East trade regulations, distributor networks, and commercial practices.

Educational Qualification:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.
